Size Guide

Finding the right size

Children's clothing sizes vary enormously between brands. The most reliable approach is to measure her and compare against the table below, rather than ordering the age she usually wears.

Measurements

Size Height Chest Waist
2–3Y 92–98 cm / 36–38.5 in 53 cm / 20.9 in 51 cm / 20.1 in
3–4Y 98–104 cm / 38.5–41 in 55 cm / 21.7 in 52 cm / 20.5 in
4–5Y 104–110 cm / 41–43 in 57 cm / 22.4 in 53 cm / 20.9 in
5–6Y 110–116 cm / 43–45.5 in 59 cm / 23.2 in 54 cm / 21.3 in
6–7Y 116–122 cm / 45.5–48 in 61 cm / 24 in 55 cm / 21.7 in
7–8Y 122–128 cm / 48–50.5 in 64 cm / 25.2 in 57 cm / 22.4 in

How to measure

Height — against a wall, shoes off, heels together.
Chest — around the fullest part, tape flat and not tight.
Waist — at the natural waist, roughly at the navel.

Two things worth knowing

If she is between sizes, take the larger one. A dress that is slightly generous can be taken in or simply worn; one that is tight across the chest cannot be rescued on the morning of the wedding.

Ball gowns carry more volume. Our fuller styles — the tulle and appliqué gowns — sit away from the body through the skirt. Length is the measurement to watch, not width.

If you are unsure, send us her height and chest measurement and we will tell you which size we would order.
